Charges laid in 2024 Sherwood Park pedestrian collision

Strathcona County RCMP have laid charges in connection with a 2024 collision that injured two pedestrians on Georgian Way in Sherwood Park.

Following an extensive investigation, RCMP announced on Wednesday, that Ronald Charles Wilkinson, 67, of Sherwood Park has been charged with two counts each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

The incident involved a single vehicle and two pedestrians. Both victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision.

Wilkinson is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on August 6, 2025.

RCMP continue to remind motorists to drive with caution, particularly in pedestrian-heavy areas.
