Autopsy unable to confirm cause of man’s death; more tests pending: Edmonton police

Edmonton police say an autopsy on a man who died earlier this week has been completed.

EPS says Monday afternoon, officers responded to a report that a man was injured in a home near 89 Street and 149A Avenue.

When officers and paramedics arrived, they tried life-saving measures on the man; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through initial stages of the investigation, police believe the 28-year-old man had been assaulted earlier in the day. Despite this, the autopsy that was conducted on Wednesday ruled the cause and manner of death were still undetermined and would require further testing.
