Edmonton police are advising the public of temporary road closures and an increased security presence following all Edmonton Oilers home games.
Vehicular traffic will be restricted on 104th Avenue between 101st Street and 105th Street. Eastbound traffic on 105th Avenue will also be closed from 102nd Street to 101st Street.
Officials are warning of significant traffic delays in the downtown area, particularly around the ICE District.
The Edmonton Police Service says fans can expect a substantial increase in police and private security personnel in central Edmonton.
Officers are urging people to celebrate responsibly and plan safe rides to and from festivities. Police say disorderly conduct, fighting and impaired driving will not be tolerated.
