Edmonton police look for man involved in nine burglaries

The Edmonton police are looking for help in identifying a man involved in a series of commercial break-and-enter thefts citywide.

According to police, the suspect is responsible for at least nine incidents that include the following locations: 106 Ave and 172 St, 49 St and 98 Ave, 28 Ave and Calgary Trail, and 97 St and 19 Ave; some of which were hit multiple times.

Police said throughout March and April, they received multiple reports of glass-smash break and enters at cosmetic stores, as well as some music stores. The suspect primarily targets beauty and hair products, carrying them out in a black plastic garbage bag.

Investigators on Thursday released surveillance video and images of the suspect, who is described as a 40- to 50-year-old white man. He was captured wearing blue jeans and a black or grey hooded jacket and carrying a black garbage bag. He is associated with a dark blue Chevrolet Aveo.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact the EPS.
