Edmonton man killed in collision on Anthony Henday Drive: police

Police say a 37-year-old Edmonton man died in a collision on the Anthony Henday last week.

Mounties say the single-vehicle collision happened Friday around midnight on the southbound Anthony Henday by Baseline Road in Strathcona County.

The victim, who was the lone occupant of the SUV, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police say the collision sparked a small grass fire, “but passersby were able to get it under control prior to police arrival.”

Strathcona County RCMP are investigating.
