Man killed in collision on Yellowhead Trail: Edmonton police

By CityNews Staff

Edmonton police say a man is dead and three others are in hospital following a collision Thursday night on Yellowhead Trail.

EPS says officers responded to reports of a collision on Yellowhead Trail near Winterburn Road.

Police say a 2024 Ford Bronco was being driven westbound by a 46-year-old man when it crossed the centre median into the eastbound lanes.

Following this, the Bronco collided head-on with a 2018 Ford F-350. This resulted in the Bronco flipping on its side and catching fire.

The driver of the Bronco was declared dead at the scene.

Police note three people who were in the F-350 — a 45-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman, and a nine-year-old boy — were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
