Urgent care at East Edmonton Health Centre closed for water leak

A water leak has shut down the urgent care at the East Edmonton Health Centre until next week.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) says the leak will keep the urgent care centre closed through the weekend with regular operations expected to resume Monday at 5 p.m.

Staff are working to cleanup the issues as quickly as possible, according to AHS. Staff will be at the hospital through the weekend to help redirect patients who arrive.

AHS is advising Health Link at 811 is available around the clock for non-emergency health matters. Those with a medical emergency should call 911.
