TELUS World of Science to reopen Feb. 1

After a small fire in an HVAC system forced a temporary closure at the TELUS World of Science, the centre it will be reopening Saturday.
The Science Centre has been closed since Jan. 20, due to the fire in a mechanical room, and has gone through extensive cleaning during the closure.

Despite being able to reopen to normal 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours, the Science Centre’s Health Zone gallery and Syncrude Science Stage will remain closed temporarily.
“We’re so excited to reopen and welcome our community back to experience the joy of science,” said Constance Scarlett, President and CEO of TELUS World of Science – Edmonton.
“Our team has worked hard to ensure a safe and engaging environment for everyone, and we can’t wait to see the smiles and hear the gasps of amazement as guests return.”
