Estimated damages worth $1.2M in Monday’s central Edmonton fire

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services says the fire that hospitalized one person on Monday is estimated to be around $1.2 million worth of damages.

EFRS believes the fire started in a second-floor bedroom, and is believed to be caused by human involvement.

It is believed that multiple ignition sources could not be ruled out, which could potentially have contributed to the ignition of the fire.
