By News Staff

Edmonton police are looking for two persons of interest in connection with a suspicious fire in central Edmonton last year. Police released two images of the suspects on Thursday.

As a part of their ongoing investigation, police are looking to identify two men, who they believe have valuable information regarding the fire on June 12, 2024, at a vacant property around 96 Street and 105A Avenue.

Fire crews located two women with life-threatening injuries who later succumbed to injuries.

“We are confident that a member of the public will be able to assist us with identifying one or both of these males so we can talk to them about any information they might have about what happened,” said Acting Detective Mike Rott of the EPS’ Investigative Response Team.

Police said they do not believe that the fire is related to Project Gaslight or the ongoing arson investigations in southwest and southeast Edmonton.
