2 injured in west Edmonton hit and run involving stolen SUV: police

By News Staff

Police say two people were hospitalized for “precautionary measures” after a hit and run in west Edmonton Wednesday that saw the driver of one vehicle allegedly flee on foot.

The Edmonton Police Service says a Honda Civic going south on 184 Street was struck by a Volkswagen Tiguan – which authorities believe was stolen – going east on 90 Avenue around 9:40 p.m.

Police say the Tiguan then spun into a parked Volkswagen Jetta with nobody inside, and the Civic struck an unoccupied Mitsubishi Mirage.

“The male driver of the black Volkswagen Tiguan was observed leaving his vehicle and walking away from the scene of the collision,” police allege in a news release.
