1 dead in Edmonton workplace incident

A worker died on the job after being struck by equipment on Monday.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) tells CityNews the death happened at an equipment supply facility in Edmonton.
“It is always tragic when a worker dies on the job,” OHS said in a statement. “Our government’s goal is to have all workers return home safely after every workday.”
OHS called it an active investigation.
Edmonton Fire Rescue told CityNews crews were on scene at 15304 131 Avenue – the site of Gir Del Hydraulic Services – “to provide support to AHS.”
