Edmonton woman dead, 4 injured in highway crash near Leduc

A 28-year-old Edmonton woman was killed and four people were hospitalized in a highway crash involving two vehicles outside of Leduc on Sunday afternoon.

Alberta RCMP say the collision, which involved a Nissan Sentra and a Dodge Ram, happened on Highway 795 at Township Road 490 around 2:17 p.m.

Three people were in the Nissan, according to police, including the woman who was killed. The two others were taken to hospital – one by ambulance and another by STARS.

The two occupants of the Dodge were taken to hospital by ambulance.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was on the scene as police continue to investigate.
