KDays attracts 741,905 visitors

Despite extreme heat, smoke and windy conditions, 741,905 people flocked to KDays from July 19-28, which is a 33 per cent increase from last year. In 2023, attendance dipped, as the 10-day festival only saw 557,000 guests.

Jessie Radies, Director, KDays, Explore Edmonton said, “KDays remains a safe, family-friendly event that all Edmontonians can take part in. We’ve been very intentional to include programming that reflects the diverse city we live in, so it’s been reassuring to see the increase in attendance this year and people enjoying everything that KDays has to offer.”

Tthe highest day attendance was 127,875.

This year the festival saw 515 vendors and exhibitors across the grounds, two new thrill rides, a Happy Beer Garden, Park After Dark, and Taylor Shines: Swifties Dance Party. The festival also had eight misting stations to give festival goers a much-needed relief from the heat.

In comparison the Calgary Stampede saw a record breaking 1,477,953, surpassing the 2012 attendance record of 1,409,371.
