On Jan. 10, it was reported that the same man tried robbing a fifth bank in Sherwood Park, after passing a note to a teller demanding cash.
Police say shortly after the incident, they were able to apprehend the man without incident.
“A suspect in five serious crimes was apprehended as a result of this lengthy investigation,” Det. Justin Collis said. “The Edmonton Police Service is grateful for the assistance provided by Strathcona County RCMP with identifying this suspect.”
He has since been identified as 20-year-old Jagveer Kundi of Edmonton. Police say Kundi has been charged with five counts of robbery and four counts of disguise with intent.
