AARCS pleading for Albertans to adopt dogs ahead of cold snap

By CityNews Staff

Many puppies and dogs are in need of help as a polar vortex is expected to bring dangerous temperatures.

The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) is pleading for foster families. They expect calls to help dogs and cats in need to go up during this cold snap but say their Edmonton and Calgary shelters are full.

AARCS is hoping they can find foster homes for over 30 puppies as well as other dogs.

The rescue group says they will provide food, bedding, and medical support, as they look to find these animals a forever home.
