Edmonton police seek information following alleged sexual assault in North Mill Creek Ravine

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is calling for public help following an alleged sexual assault in the North Mill Creek Ravine on Dec. 10, 2023.

Police say around 3 p.m. on Sunday, a 33-year-old woman was walking in the ravine near 95 Street and 86 Avenue.

She says a man who was standing off the path approached her, grabbed her, pinned her to a nearby tree, and sexually assaulted her.

The woman was eventually able to get free and made it to the “Peace Mile” parking lot located north of 82 Avenue and 95A Street where she reported the incident.

Police say the suspect has been described as a man in his 50s, who is roughly 5’10” with a medium build, and white hair with dark streaks on the side.

At the time, he was wearing a black zip-up puffer jacket, light blue jeans, and running shoes, black and white in colour.
