    A duplex was destroyed in the Trumpeter Way area Thursday, following an overnight fire. Neighbours are sounding the alarm on the need for a fire station closer to the new community.

    Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) says one home has been destroyed following an overnight fire near 129 Avenue and 205 Street.

    EFRS says they received a call regarding the fire just before 1 a.m.

    Four units were dispatched and arrived at the scene within ten minutes.

    Fire crews then worked until 10:13 a.m. to fully extinguish the blaze.

    At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown, and no injuries have been reported.
