Convicted sex offender rearrested after recent release from prison

A recently released convicted sexual offender has been rearrested by Edmonton police.

The EPS issued a warning to the public on Oct. 19, after 28-year-old David Adams, who is a convicted sexual offender was released from prison.

Monday, Adams was arrested after he was witnessed using a computer at a downtown library in breach of his conditions.

Police say while they were escorting Adams, he broke free and tried to flee from officers, but was quickly re-apprehended.

He has since been charged with two breaches of probation and escaping lawful custody. Adams will be in court on Oct. 31.
