River Valley will not belong to feds: says Edmonton city council after approval of national park study

City council clarifying Tuesday, that the River Valley would never be fully owned by the federal government, even if a national urban park moves ahead.

This as Edmonton councilors voted 10 to 3 in favour of moving forward with a study, funded by the feds.

The study will see what a national park in Edmonton could look like.

The majority noting, it could bring more funding to maintaining Edmonton’s largest green space.
