Edmonton police investigate rollover on Anthony Henday that sent 2 to hospital

Edmonton police are investigating a serious collision on the southwest leg of Anthony Henday Drive, east of the Rabbit Hill Road exit, Tuesday evening,

A truck was seen overturned on its roof with debris strewn across the roadway. Nearby, a car appeared to have significant damage to its rear end.

Police say it happened at 5:30 p.m. when the driver of an eastbound truck went onto the shoulder of the road, where it collided with an unoccupied vehicle, causing it to roll.

The driver and passenger of the truck were taken to hospital, where the driver was admitted and continues to be treated for serious injuries.

The rollover led to a slow commute for drivers Tuesday.
