The Edmonton Police Service and Edmonton Fire Rescue Services are continuing to search the North Saskatchewan River after a 14-year-old boy went missing on Sunday.
EPS says around 5 p.m., four teens were swimming in the river near Terwillegar Park when one got caught in a current and was carried down stream.
Within seven minutes of the call EFRS arrived at the scene with a jet boat and began a search. That search was suspended around 10 p.m. due to darkness.

Police are also asking anyone who may be along the North Saskatchewan River to keep an eye out for the teen.
“We currently have many resources committed to this search including assistance from EFRS. In addition, we are working with the family of the teen to gather further information and that will be forthcoming,” said Edmonton police in a statement.
