Man charged in connection to Grande Prairie fire

Mounties in Grade Prairie say they are continuing to investigate several suspicious fires that occurred on May 15 and May 16.

The RCMP says, in addition to the five fires, investigators are also looking into a suspicious fire that occurred near 108 Street and 68 Avenue on May 17, 2023 around 10:30 p.m.

In addition, Mounties are also investigating a grass fire in the area of 96 Street and 94 Avenue.

Police say 34-year-old Evan Bjorklund has been charged in connection to the grass fire.

Bjorklund is expected to appear in court on June 14.
