An evacuation order has been issued for a rural area north of Wildwood, Alta., about 120 kilometres west of Edmonton, due to a wildfire.
Authorities are instructing residents from Township Road 544 to Township Road 553 east to Highway 22 and west to Range Road 92 to leave the area immediately and bring supplies for at least three days.
Evacuees are to go to the Wildwood Community Centre via Range Road 92 south.
A wildfire near Drayton Valley that was previously contained has grown, resulting in another evacuation order being issued for residents in the area north of Township Road 482 and south of Highway 39, as well as west of Range Road 64 and east of Highway 71.
