Two vehicles destroyed following fire at Lakeview campground

Fire crews responded to a grass fire at Lakeview Campground Monday afternoon.
Randy Schroeder, County Fire Chief, said a crew from Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services were dispatched to the campground just before 1 p.m., with three additional crews also being dispatched at the same time.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and were able to limit the spread of the fire to an RV, another vehicle and a patch of grass.
The three additional crews were then instructed to stand down while en route.
“There is no danger to the public, the fire is contained, crews are still on scene moping up and overhauling the fire,” said Schroeder, in a statement.
A witness told CityNews community members were out with hoses when the fire was first noticed.
One person is being treated for shock-like symptoms.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
