Edmonton police are advising drivers to take caution while driving along Wayne Gretzky Drive due to a brush fire.
With the blaze along the street near Mt. Lawn Road, police say there is a high volume of smoke, which is impacting visibility.
EPS ask all drivers to “slow down, remain patient and exercise caution as they travel through.”
Due to poor visibility, there have already been several moments where a vehicle has collided with Edmonton Fire trucks.
Despite the collisions, EPS say no major injuries have been reported.
Officers say there is the possibility for a road closure to help manage the situation.
Edmonton and the surrounding area have seen several grass fires over the last week.
