By Lauryn Heintz

An Alberta educational assistant is facing additional charges for sexual assault on youths after a third victim came forward.

JJ Lenin Butler, 28, of Grande Cache, was first charged April 20 following an investigation which indicated two minors had been sexually exploited by an educational assistant in the western Alberta village.

At the time, Butler was charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography.

RCMP believe there are additional victims and have encouraged those individuals to come forward.

As a result, a third victim has been identified, leading to Butler being arrested once again on April 26.

He has additionally been charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation and sexual assault.

Butler was taken before a justice of the peace and released with his next court appearance on all charges set for May 4 at the Grande Cache Court of Justice.

Individuals with any information on this crime, or any other crime, are asked to contact the Grande Cache RCMP at 780-827-2222 or their local police.
