Man in hospital after random stabbing at Edmonton bus stop

One man is in hospital after he was randomly stabbed while at a bus stop Thursday morning.
Edmonton police say around 6:15 a.m., a 48-year-old man was sitting at a bus stop near 38 Avenue and Millbourne Road, enjoying his morning coffee when he was approached from behind and stabbed in the back.

He was able to call police before collapsing. Police also noted they received additional calls from concerned citizens who came to the man’s aid.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the suspect left the area and remains at large at this time.
