Two teens face charges in connection to Leduc rink fire: RCMP

Leduc RCMP say two teens face arson charges after an outdoor ice rink was set on fire.

On Jan. 28, Leduc Fire responded to reports of a fire at the Southfork Outdoor Skating Rink. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze but noted significant damage was done to the rink.

Following an investigation, RCMP believe two 16-year-olds were involved.

Both were taken into custody and were charged with arson.

Mounties say both have since been released and are expected to appear in court on March 24.
