Police say an 18-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a man after stepping off an ETS bus on 107 Avenue. Investigators say the woman was dragged by the man down the street before two witnesses stepped in.
The bystanders, according to police, “successfully rescued” the woman, taking her to a nearby convenience store to contact the EPS.
Detective Thomas Marsh commended the actions of the witnesses who stepped in.
“We would like to thank the citizens who intervened during the attack and prevented this woman from experiencing additional harm,” he said.
