RCMP investigating ‘sudden death’ in Wabasca First Nation

RCMP say they are investigating what is being described as a “sudden death” in the Wabasca First Nation on Sunday.

In a short media release, Desmarais RCMP say they were on the scene on Highway 754 in the First Nation about 320 kilometres north of Edmonton.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was expected on the scene.

A portion of the highway is expected to “not be passable for some time,” police said.

RCMP are asking people to avoid the area.
