Assault in downtown Edmonton auto body shop leaves one seriously hurt

Edmonton police are looking for more information after an assault left one person seriously hurt downtown Wednesday afternoon.

EPS says officers responded to reports of the assault at an auto body shop near 106 Ave. and 98 St.

When police arrived, they found someone who was suffering from severe injuries. The person was reportedly treated on scene before being taken to hospital in critical and unstable condition.

Police say one person was taken into custody but have not provided any more details.
