Three more COVID-19 deaths, cases rise by 76 in Alberta

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Three more Albertans have died due to COVID-19 related complications.
A woman in her 80s from the Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre is the 29th death linked to the outbreak at that care centre.
The three deaths include:
– A man in his 90s from Heimstaed Seniors Lodge in North Zone.
– A man in his 90s from Central Zone Not linked to continuing care.
– A woman in her 80s from Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre. There have been 29 deaths linked to this outbreak

A man in his 90s from the Heimstaed Seniors Lodge in the North Zone and a man in his 90s from the Central Zone not related to any continuing care facilities are the other two deaths.
The total number of deaths in the province now sits at 220.

In the daily provincial update posted online, health officials reported 76 new COVID-19 cases.
There are 1,036 active cases across the province.
Fifty people are still in the hospital with 12 of them in the ICU.
Over 10,000 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.
