72 new COVID-19 cases, one more death

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – One more Albertan has died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the province to 126.
In Saturday’s provincial update, health officials confirmed 72 new cases, leaving 1,084 active cases.
874 cases are currently in the Calgary area.

60 people remain in the hospital, eight of which are in the ICU.
5,377 Albertans have recovered from the virus as of Saturday.
During Friday’s provincial update, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said outdoor gatherings are now limited to no more than 50 people.
Those people who attended gatherings must still practice safe social distancing and proper hygiene practices, meaning no sharing of food or drinks.
Gatherings inside still must not exceed fifteen people.
