Alberta’s second COVID-19 presumptive case in Edmonton-zone

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) — A second presumptive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Alberta.
The province’s Chief medical health officer confirming a man in his 40s in Edmonton-zone may have contracted the disease while on a trip through the United States.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw confirming the details Friday afternoon.

“This person had a travel-related infection and had just come back from a business trip where they had visited Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio,” Dr. Hinshaw said. “As we learn more with our public health investigation, I will let you know what we learn.”
Alberta’s first case was announced Thursday, a woman in her 50s from Calgary who is expected to make a full recovery.
Hinshaw says the woman works at ATB Financial.
ATB has closed two northwest Calgary branches as a precaution. One in Creekside, the other in Sage Hill.
