One dead, another charged in city’s SE

EDMONTON (CityNews) – Charges have been laid after Edmonton police found the body of a 40-year-old man reported missing earlier this month.

Huran Baran was last seen on Jan. 22 and was thought to be driving a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 and was seen at a restaurant.

With help from tips from the public, officers searched the city’s southeast quadrant and found Baran’s truck.

Baran’s body was found in the driver’s seat.

Homicide investigators have charged 30-year-old Tristan Taschuk, with second-degree murder in relation to Baran’s death.
