One arrested, two sought in robbery at Southgate Mall
EDMONTON – One person is in custody and two other suspects are being sought after a midday robbery at an Edmonton jewelry store.
Police say shortly before 12:30 p.m. officers were called to Southgate Mall for reports that several suspects had tried to rob the jewelry store, pepper spraying the area.
Witnesses tell me they heard glass break then saw at least three masked ppl in black clothes carrying baseball bats inside the jewelry store. #yeg

Mall employees say about a dozen people were pepper-sprayed when the masked thieves came in.
Shoppers were cleared out so Edmonton Fire Rescue Services could ventilate the wing of the mall that was pepper-sprayed.

EPS says a man is in custody and investigators are looking for the other two suspects.
