Suspect ‘armed and dangerous’; wanted in central Alberta shooting

BLACKFALDS (660 NEWS) – RCMP have arrested one person and are hunting for another they believe is ‘armed and dangerous’ after a shooting just north of Red Deer.

A man was found with gunshot wounds at a rural property just west of Blackfalds on Aug. 30.

He was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Mounties have now charged 22-year-old Shae-Lee Phillips of Stettler with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.

They have also issued an arrest warrant for Kenton Woods to face similar charges.

RCMP say he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call the police.
