Fall, collision with vehicle, claim two lives at separate Alberta worksites

LEDUC – Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in Alberta is investigating separate fatal workplace accidents that occurred on the same day.

The provincial agency said a worker was killed Monday afternoon at a business in Leduc, south of Edmonton.

The STARS Air Ambulance service said the death was the result of a fall.

It says the worker wasn’t taken to hospital, but no other details have been released.

The second accident happened near Grande Prairie when a 37-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The names of both victims have not been released.
