Parks Canada reservations open soon

BANFF (660 NEWS) – It’s only January, but already some campers are thinking about their summer vacation.
Parks Canada is opening its campground reservation system this week, but you might want to hurry.

Jed Cochrane with Parks Canada said that’s because some sites fill up pretty fast.
“Depends on the campsite and depends on the weekend or the time of the year. Some of our campsites, our more popular ones in Banff do fill up fairly quickly and certainly at times of the year like our long weekends those are our busiest times.”
Cochrane said that as a result of the high demand they’ve added more sites this year.

Reservations in Banff are open Wednesday morning and campsites in Yoho and Kootenay parks go online Thursday.
