Canada's canola conundrum

Two days after China revoked Richardson International’s registration to ship canola to the country without explanation… farmers on the prairies are second guessing their spring seeding. Many still have canola product sitting in their storage bins. Many more have already ordered their seeds. And, as the wait for spring thaw continues, the question becomes: should farmers stick to the highly efficient yields from canola (and risk having a surplus that won’t sell) or shift gears to grow a different crop (likely resulting in lower dollars/acre revenue).
