Woman charged with murder in fatal west Edmonton stabbing

Police say a woman is facing a murder charge in the death of a woman she knew following a reported altercation outside a home in Edmonton’s west end over the weekend.

Zubaria Khan, 27, died in hospital after being stabbed multiple times, the Edmonton Police Service says an autopsy has determined. Her death is being ruled a homicide.

She was found with life-threatening injuries outside a home in the Hamptons neighbourhood on Sunday around 9:40 p.m.

A woman was arrested at the scene.

Fahimah Rahimi, 33, has been charged with second-degree murder. The allegation against her has not been tested in court.
