Duplex in southeast Edmonton heavily damaged by fire

A fire did significant damage to a duplex in southeast Edmonton on Tuesday afternoon.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services says crews were called to the building on 29 Avenue and 15 Street shortly after 1 p.m.

The fire was brought under control at 1:50 p.m. and officially declared out at 3:54 p.m.

The blaze damaged both units of the duplex and their garages.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
