Alberta RCMP say a 22-year-old man and two others have been charged with accessing child pornography.
Mounties say that between Sept. 9 and 11, they assisted the ALERT Internet Child Exploitation Unit in executing five search warrants in Leduc and Calmar.
As a result of the search, police were able to seize multiple electronic devices.
RCMP say 22-year-old Taylor Poitras from Leduc has been charged with accessing child pornography, transmitting child pornography, and possession of child pornography.
Mounties say a second individual was charged, but their identity can’t be released due to their age.
Both have been released with conditions.
A third person was also charged, but Mounties say that they are dead and won’t be named, noting the death is non-criminal.
RCMP say an investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information, they are asked to contact investigators at 310-7267 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
