Shooting in southwest Edmonton ends in foot chase, 2 in custody

Two people have been arrested after a shooting incident in southwest Edmonton Monday afternoon.

Edmonton police were called to reports of a shooting at 156 Street shortly after 2 p.m.

Police say they discovered a parked, unoccupied vehicle with the back window shot out. Authorities say they identified and then chased the suspect vehicle, which crashed nearby.

Police say they tracked two men who fled on foot into the Cameron Heights ravine area, and arrested them.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
