Pickle-infused sugar donuts, ramen burrito among latest KDays food creations

A ramen noodle burrito, pickle-infused sugary donuts, and spicy mango soft serve are just some of the gut-filling, tooth-decaying food inventions making their way to Edmonton’s KDays this summer.
The popular July carnival is known for food options that defy convention, and this year’s no different.
Explore Edmonton says there will be 35 new food items across the grounds.
Some of those items unveiled Monday are:
- Vanilla soft serve ice cream with Skor bits, Oreo bits, brownie chunks, chocolate caramel and strawberry sauces, served with kettle corn pop corners
- Mini donuts dusted with pickle-infused sugar and sprinkled with dill
- Mango soft serve rimmed with tajin (chili/lime)
- A ramen noodle burrito wrap
- Japanese waffle burger
“From bold flavour mashups to totally unexpected ingredients, this year’s food vendors are bringing the kind of dishes that make you stop, snack and take a picture,” Explore Edmonton said in a news release.
The 10-day KDays, from July 18 to 27, features rides, live music, games and more.
