2 injured in collision on 23 Avenue at 119 Street: Edmonton Police

Edmonton police says multiple people are in hospital following a collision in the intersection of 23 Avenue and 119 Street Thursday afternoon.

EPS said around 4:30 p.m., a Subaru Forester was driving east on 23 Avenue and attempted to turn onto 119 Avenue, when it was hit by a Dodge Caravan that was heading west on 23 Avenue.

Due to the collision, the Subaru rolled onto the driver side and slid into a Ford Edge that was stopped at the intersection.

Police say the driver of the Subaru was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons. A passenger that was in the Subaru was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic had been closed in the intersection, and had been diverted via McGrath Road NW, Saddleback Road, 25 Avenue.
