Alberta RCMP says eight people are before the courts after drugs and guns were seized across the province earlier this month.
Parkland RCMP with assistance from Parkland, St. Albert, Leduc, and Red Deer executed six search warrants at two locations in Stoney Plain, three in Edmonton and one in Red Deer on Aug. 2.
From the searches, Mounties found and seized the following:
- 513.7 grams of Cocaine
- 109.8 grams of Hash
- 12.8 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms
- 1 gram of Methamphetamine / MDMA
- 60 tabs of LSD
- 2.5 gallons of GHB
- 94 tablets of benzodiazepine
- $6122 in Canadian currency
- 36 rounds of 12 Gauge ammunition
- Remington 870 12 Gauge shotgun
- Akkar Churchill 12 Gauge shotgun
- Stolen Commander 9mm pistol
- 2400 contraband cigarettes
- Body armour
RCMP say because of the searches, eight people are facing various charges, but those charges have not been sworn before the courts at this time, therefore the names of those in custody can’t be released.
