The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is looking for a man believed to be connected to an armed robbery at a northeast Edmonton restaurant in April.
EPS says that at around 8:30 p.m. on Apr. 11, a man was seen entering a restaurant near 120 Avenue and 90 Street to pick up a takeout order. He then offered to pay for his meal in cash.
Police then say as the lone employee opened the cash register, the man pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the employee, and demanded all the cash.
After getting the money, he fled on 90 Street towards 122 Avenue.
EPS says the robbery was captured on the restaurant’s video surveillance system, and the video is now being released to the public.
Police have described the suspect as being 5’10” and roughly 230 lbs. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a large gold ring on his right pointer finger, and had distinctive tattoos on the top of his right hand and both sides of his neck.
Police are asking if anyone has any information on the suspect to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
