The outdoor Edmonton comedy festival that was forced to cancel Friday due to poor air quality in the city was moved to Saturday.
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival cancelled the show at Kinsmen Park Friday roughly one hour before it was set to begin.
The decision was made due to poor air quality linked to Canadian wildfires. The City of Edmonton activated its extreme weather response because of the smoky skies.
“All tickets from last night are valid for this evening. If you wish to get a refund, you have until 6:30pm to do so,” the festival tweeted Saturday.

Comedian Theo Von is headlining the festival, with Sam Morril and Laura Peek also performing.
Von was apologetic Friday night on social media once the cancellation was official, telling his fans the decision was out of his hands.
“I am very sorry,” the comedian and podcast host wrote. “I know a lot of you can only come tonight or y’all came from far away. I’m really sorry. I appreciate your support and hope to make it up to you.”
Von then urged his fans to meet him outside the venue, where he shook hands and took selfies.
